The Digital Couture by Nexa in association with Lakmé Fashion Week is pathbreaking and aims to bring the creativity and virtual designs to life.
Nexa and Lakmé Fashion Week are making the first of its kind experience through technology and Indian Fashion. The next step by Nexa in the innovation is Digital Couture, with celebrated Indian fashion designers. “The introduction of Digital Couture moving beyond physical restraints marks yet another first not only for the platform but also for the country”, says JaspreetChandok, Head — Lifestyle Businesses IMG Reliance.
The year 2020 saw lots of fashion films, a series of podcasts, and fluid fashion weeks because of the pandemic. But the social distancing guidelines did not put a full stop to the fashion world and creative minds. Nexa brings in the innovation idea by introducing the Digital Couture that is pathbreaking and inspiring.
About Digital Couture
It is altogether an enthralling experience in the digital age that Nexa promises to bring to the consumers. The virtual event would be bringing in to reality with esteemed Indian fashion designers, Abraham &Thakore, PayalSinghal, Amit Aggarwal, Huemn, KanikaGoyal, and RidhiMehra. ‘Each designer will be developing a sketch that will then be transformed into 3D virtual garments’. The 3D garments will be rendered on the models for the real view. The 3D feature will enable us to observe the minute details of the garment.
It is a unique platform by Lakmé Fashion Week for showcasing garments and consumption. It also promotes customised couture as one can try the garment virtually. “Considering the times we live in, customers have changed the way they consume media. They are leaning more towards digital. This prompted us at NEXA to bring something new and innovative in line with our philosophy of Create.Inspire”, says Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki. This technology innovation proved to be a creative and safe way for Indian Fashion designers to showcase and promote their collection.
The long-term partnership between Nexa and Lakme paves into another interactive way to attract clients. The announcement of the Digital Couture would blur the gap between the physical and the virtual world. The designers can convert the virtual garment to a physical one on an individual request.
