Vaishali S
Vaishali S is one of the most famous fashion designers in India. She is committed to creating wearable art forms out of handwoven textiles. The brand, since initiation, is committed to handloom weavers and worked with over 900 weavers and explored 14 different techniques of weaving from various Indian states. For the spring-summer collection, they raised the bar for dressing sense in India, as their collection is an experience of rebirth. Vaishali’s collection “Rebirth” was built in the form of corals and created a distinct feel of being born again in the slow.
Payal Jain
The fabric of Payal Jain’s latest collection “Holy Script” took inspiration by weaving clusters in and around Banaras, blends of cotton and silk ‘Chanderi,’ Organza and ‘Munga’. The designer opted for traditional jacquard techniques like ‘Katrauan,’ ‘Kadua’ woven in silk yarn float into shear, fluid, and flowing silhouettes. Payal, through these natural, weightless quality of the fabrics, expressed the lightness of spirit and emptiness of the soul. The color palette for her collection was vibrant and vivid, which was inspired by traditional Buddhist ‘Thangka’ paintings, in rich hues of Vermillion, Lapis blue, Emerald green, and Sulphur yellow, with strokes of painted canvases.
Namrata Joshipura
On day one of Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2021, the fashion world took by storm as the Namrata Joshipura label once again welcomed a vision of a global aesthetic. The label brought a new dressing style by combining contemporary silhouettes with modern interpretations of artisanal embellishments. She did not leave behind her signature element, which is her innovative use of colors. Namrata showcased strong expressions of color contrasted with beautiful embellishments. The designs portrayed embroideries that were beautiful in their complexity and intricacy. For the latest collection “Circle Back,” the designer took inspiration from her travels around the world. Her designs effortlessly portrayed her time living in both New York and New Delhi. She imbibed the creative energy of both cities
