E-Commerce Fashion Retail Myntra To Change Its Logo — IKF
Myntra, the e-commerce fashion portal would be changing its logo after a complaint was filed against it for being offensive and insulting by Naaz Patel of the NGO Avesta Foundation. The shopping site has been settling around controversies since December 2020. Myntra is raging in the fashion news since it decided to alter/ change the logo.

Myntra with its headquarters in Bengaluru is an online e-commerce fashion portal. It was acquired by Flipkart in 2014 (now under Walmart). Currently, it houses more than 500 leading brands both national and international for apparel, footwear, home décor, activewear, and beauty. It was also awarded the Best Fashion eRetailer of the year in 2013 by Franchise India, Indian eRetail Awards.The e-commerce categorizes shopping under men, women, kids, and home & living retailing brands such as Puma, Nike, U.S Polo, HRX by Hrithik Roshan, and many others.
Details Regarding The Complaint
Naaz Patel associated with the NGO Avesta Foundation complained in December 2020 against the latest fashion selling e-commerce portal at the Cyber Crime Department of Mumbai Police.
The logo was found to be offensive and insulting for women. This was sent in an official mail to the Myntra organization. Following,the officials from the organization visited too.
Naaz Patel demanded the removal of the logo, and that appropriate action is taken against the firm.
According to the fashion news, Myntra has confirmed that it would be reflecting the new logo not only on their website but their packaging material and application too.
DCP Rashmi Karandikar of Mumbai Police Cyber Crime Department, as quoted in the report “We found that the logo was offensive in nature for women. Following the complaint, we sent an email to Myntra and their officials came and met us. The officials said they will change the logo in a month’s time.”
