Summer creates the curiosity in our heads to go out for lunch dates, parties, and pool parties. Summers can be harsh to your skin, harmful UV rays can cause tanning, severe skin allergies, sunburn, eye damage, and premature wrinkles.

But according to an article by the World Health Organization, some UV radiations are essential to the body as it stimulates the production of vitamin D, which has an important role in increasing calcium. So WHO states that 5 to 15 minutes of casual sun exposure of body two to three times a week during the summer months is enough to keep your vitamin D levels high.

But most of us face the sunlight a lot more than this in a week, which leads to the burning of the skin and tanning. The UV rays reduce the elasticity of the skin and cause a person to age prematurely. Sun tanning occurs as too much exposure to the sunlight causing the skin to produce more melanin and to darken.

Prolonged and frequent exposure to Ultraviolet(UV) rays can also cause diseases like skin cancer. But if you properly take care of your skin you can fight with all the tanning and skin allergies.
